Effects of Acute L-NMMA Treatment on Renal Hemodynamics and Vasoactive Hormones in Patients With Congestive Heart Failure
Effects of Acute L-NMMA Treatment on Renal Hemodynamics, Sodium and Water Excretion and Plasma Levels of Vasoactive Hormones in Patients With Congestive Heart Failure and Healthy Controls
Sponsor: Regional Hospital Holstebro
A PHASE1 clinical study on Congestive Heart Failure, this trial is completed. The trial is conducted by Regional Hospital Holstebro and has accumulated 5 data snapshots since 2026. Cardiovascular trials of this type often inform treatment guidelines for long-term patient management.
Study Description(click to expand)The purpose of the study is to investigate the effects of systemic treatment with Ng-monomethyl-l-arginine in congestive heart failure and healthy controls on:
* glomerular filtration rate and renal plasma flow
* blood pressure and heart rate
* plasma levels of vasoactive hormones
* lithium clearance
The study is randomized and placebo controlled
